Our Programs
Peacebuilding
This programs seeks to enhance and support young people’s participation in promoting Peace and fight against violent extremism in Cameroon.
Agriculture and Environment
This program seeks to promote climate smart agricultural practices, boost agricultural productivity and ensure food safety.
Youth Development & Entrepreneurship
This program seeks to provide impartial support and guidance with the aim of understanding challenges young people face and identify ways to overcome them.
Gender Base Violence (GBV)
Violence against women and girls is one of the most prevalent human rights violations in the world. It knows no social, economic or national boundaries.
Democracy and Governance
Through this program, our goal is to advocate for more young people participation and promotion of good governance and democracy.
Vocational training
The goal is to reduce unemployment among youths in Cameroon and promote entrepreneurship by bringing employment opportunities to the door-steps of unemployed vulnerable and underprivileged youth.
About Us
Community Action for Advancing Sustainable Development (CAASDEV) is a youth led non-governmental, apolitical and non-denominational organization founded in 2017.
CAASDEV was initially registered as a common initiative group in 2017 with registration number NW/GP/001/17/16492, and later updated to an association on the 29th of October 2021 with registration number 38/E.29/1111/VOL.8/ALPAS in conformity with law No 90/053 of 19th December 1990.

Some Past Projects..
African Vegan Project
CAASDEV with support from ProVeg International in the project “Restaurant Campaign for Protection of animals and Environment” successfully organized educative workshops with over 25 participants including restaurant managers and launched the first edition of her vegan food festival in Bamenda with presentation of different traditional vegan food menus available in our local community.
Cultural and Religious Diversity Dialogue
CAASDEV in collaboration with the Global exchange on Religion in Society (GERIS) gathered youth leaders selected from across different cultures and Religious background gathered at the Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue forum . A Youth Intercultural and Interreligious dialogue Network (YIIDNet) was created to serve as a platform for youth consultations on fostering Intercultural/Religious dialogue.
International Youth Day
CAASDEV commemoration of the International Youth Day. On this important day in the lives of youths we mobilized 50 young People to pledged to join hands across generations to break down barriers, and work as one to achieve a more equitable, just and inclusive world for all people.
