“The New World for Girls”
Funded by: Canada Fund for Local Initiatives
“The New World for Girls” is a transformative monthly initiative tackling the barriers to accessing Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights services. This program is a beacon of knowledge and empowerment for vulnerable internally displaced teenagers in 13 crisis-affected communities in the North West region of Cameroon.
Through “The New World for Girls,” we’ve already reached an impressive milestone, impacting around 1500 girls. Our approach is holistic, addressing a range of critical topics, including sexual health, relationships, menstrual hygiene, substance abuse, peer pressure, risky behaviors, mental health, and career orientation. One of the project’s standout features is the provision of menstrual hygiene kits, ensuring that girls have access to the essentials they need. By equipping these teenagers with essential life skills and knowledge, we’re not only fostering informed decision-making but also paving the way for healthier and more empowered futures. “The New World for Girls” is a testament to our commitment to uplifting girls and young women in their journey towards a better world.
